MMS ART COURSE DESCRIPTION

Grade seven Art focuses on the elements and principles of design while developing experiences in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other art media.  Students will learn art concepts and techniques while they work on individual assignments.  A variety of art mediums will be used throughout the course to give students a broad experience in the Visual Arts.  Color theory will be emphasized throughout the course.  This semester-long course was created with the North Dakota Visual Art Standards and Benchmarks in mind and are designed to give students a wide range of art experiences.
